Stena Confidential has an important mission: to securely and environmentally destroy confidential documents and materials. Through collaboration with M2M Solutions and the use of the IoT platform Purplepoint, Stena has streamlined its workflow and increased customer satisfaction.

Challenge

Stena Confidential offers its customers secure and environmentally conscious destruction of confidential documents and materials. Ensuring that customers' materials do not fall into the wrong hands and cannot be reconstructed is a trust-based assignment with high demands for traceability at every step of the chain from collection and transport to destruction.

Solution

We developed an IoT solution where each container is equipped with sensors for fill level, localization, and opening detection. Through the Purplepoint App and NFC, field technicians can identify each container upon pickup, and every step in the chain is logged in the Purplepoint Cloud. After the process is completed, a destruction certificate is automatically sent to the customer.
